Don't know what to expect, and unsure if booking an event is right for you? Never had an experience with painting or pottery? Think because haven't had an art class in ten years you won't be any good? Right now is the perfect time to try a new adventure! Come chat it up and get ready for your next art event.
"Do I need to have any experience?"
Absolutely not! Each event has instruction for all levels of talent. You will be taught simple fundaments to help you along. Have a question as you work? Our smaller class size allow for personalized instruction that helps you become a better artist!
"How do I register?"
For each class or event you can register three ways; online with our contact form, over the phone, or in person by stopping by during our business hours. Registrations can be made up until five hours before the event or until max has been met.
"Is there a deposit?"
We do require a $5 deposit to book your spot. This is made per seat and at the time of booking. The remainder of the fee is due day off.
"How do I pay?"
Payments can be made in advance or on the date of the event with check, cash, PayPal or Square. Make payments out to the ZabelJanes Events.
"Can I be put on a wait-list?"
There is a maximum of fifteen participants for classes and evening events. Once the list is full a wait-list will be started, in the event that someone will cancel. You can always be put on the next month's list as well, or plan your own private event for the future.
"Do you allow walk-in's?"
Forgot to register in advance? As long as we do not have our max participants all are welcome! Even if our max is set, sign your name up for the next public event.
"What should I wear?"
Afraid you may make a mess? We offer aprons if you are accident prone or for those that feel they need the extra protection. Otherwise, wear what is comfortable to you. I do suggest no droopy sleeves. You can always roll you sleeves up if you have long-sleeves. Coats and sweatshirts can be placed on the backs of chairs.
"Do you supply food and beverage?"
At this time we do not unless otherwise specified. For public events, you are welcome to bring in a water bottle and fill up if needed. Any drinks brought in are recommended to have lids that close. Small snacks are fine. I would not recommend bringing in your lunch bag however. On special occasions food and drinks may be provided. A message will be sent out in advance of these events.
Regulations for private events are set at time of booking.
Regulations for private events are set at time of booking.
"Is this a wine and paint night?"
Our only event options that allows YOU to BRING your own alcoholic beverage is our weekend adult paint events where you must be 21 to register. We do have refrigeration but no ice. For our private events you will need to contact for regulations.
"Do you take photos of the events?"
Yes! Unless you specifically have your own restrictions on public use of your image, I will use photos I take to post onto the event pages as well as our social media platforms. At the end off each event a group photo is taken and posted. You are free use any of the images posted.
"Do you sell gift certificates?"
Have a special someone you want to gift with their own event? Gift certificates are a perfect experience to share with someone. We offer specialty and general gift certificates of any price range.
"What is the cancelation policy?"
Booked an event that fell through? Each private event has a non-refundable deposit fee. However, cancellations can be made up until two days prior to the event (the date of full payment received). Cancellations made after this will only offer a 50% refund.
"How does seating work?"
For public events, seating is first come first serve. If you are coming with a group, I would recommend arriving 15 minutes early to save your seats. Most people are generous, and if you ask will gladly swap places with you.
"Do I need to bring anything?"
Yourself, and a desire to have a great time. If you have a favorite set of paintbrushes, feel free to bring them, we won't judge! Be prepared to enjoy yourself as you mingle, laugh, meet new artists, sing along, and learn a new skill.
"Do you offer off-site events?"
Want to host an event of your own? Send us a request via our contact page, and we will make whatever accommodations we can! Events are what we do.
